Hey guys,

Today I tried both the MX200s and MX1000s but now I can't pick between them, both were lovely irons to hit and produced almost identical distance and height on similar shots.

If you had to pick between them which one would you choose and why??

I'd go with the 200s and make sure they are cheap. Mizuno aren't even selling them anymore (at their end) from what I gather. If have an old set of the more "posh" hybrid types (MX-900) and I can't tell any improvement over a standard cavity. If the 1000s were an update of mine, it's hardly worth it i.m.o.

I'd go for the 200's as i don't think the 1000's are a forged head? i may be wrong though.

I have the 200's and i love them although i am tempted by the new jpx range, hopefully might get to try some out tomorrow night when i go for my lesson.

If the 200's work I'd go with them as they will be more usable as you improve. The 1000's are Super Agme Improvers I believe, the 200's are a quality set that should last you well into low-mid handicap range

Surely if there nearly identical the cheapest option.

What's wrong with your mx 200's???

I think this question was ment for me?

Theres nowt wrong with them but it's just that i've heard good things about the new jpx range and to be honest there is nothing better than a shiny new set of irons. But saying that, after talking with my pro i get lessons off tonight he said i'd be probley better off saving my money and get my mx200's custom fitted for me as he thinks the shafts in them may not be the right ones for me.

But next time im at the range i will give the new jpx range a go and see what they are like as it would be rude not to :)

Nothing ventured and all that. I've seen the JPX pro and like it although the test will come when I hit it. However listen to your pro. If the shafts are wrong then it is going to take a lot to keep hitting good shots on a regular basis and getting the clubs to work at their best for you
