I'm a big fan of Mizuno irons and i'm in the market for a fairway wood. Has anyone any experience with mizuno woods, and are they up to the same high standard ad mizuno irons? I like the look of the Mx 700 and it's the right sort of price.

Hi WGC2, I have been using mizuno mx 700 driver (9.5*)3wood and 5 wood for the past 2 weeks(my mate was kind enough to lend them to me while he is on holiday). I have to say that i am well impressed, all 3 are easy to hit(all be it a bit high, driver has a ds4 shaft and the 3&5 wood has the fs4 shaft) the 3 and 5 wood are very easy to hit and long, they fly maybe 8 yards longer than my f50's. to be honest my command of the english language is not upto explaining how easy these clubs are to use, so my advice would be to give them a try. Hope this helps Rob

Good to hear that you rate them, Prubs.

I've got a 3 wood on order and they've certainly been well received in the magazine tests too.

I use the 5 wood MX 700, not a great fan of the Exsar FS4 shaft, feels a bit dead.

The lower, stretched back head (compared to the F60) does launch the ball high.

But a fairly easy to use, reliable club. Try the 3 and 5 wood, they produced fairly similar trajectory for me.

I have had the 3 wood in my bag for a while now and love it. There is a review in the review section.

Only thing I would say is that I ended up with a stiff shaft in mine despite usually having regular shafts as, according to the pro, this is about the same as a regular in other makes. Certainly suited me better when comparing the two.
