Hi all,

Took a punt on 2 of these from ebay last month. 52 & 56 degree with a stiff shaft.

Yikes. The spin is awesome. Little old 17 handicap me can get the ball stopping dead (almost) on greens when chipping. I've even had one or two shots zip back a few feet too.

The reason I ask this question is a) I can't do this with my other Cally MacDaddy wedges, b) they're old and could be pre-groove changes and c) One shot I played with a Srizon AD333 not only zipped back a couple of feet from a 20ft chip but I actually slightly 'cut' the cover of the ball from said shot.

Like I say, these clubs are a good 5/6 years old, if not more, and have seen a good few rounds. For £20 each I couldn't say no to them.

Just don't want to get caught out if they're not legit.

Till 2024.

A little bit of pointless history. I think Mizuno also made a MP-T10C wedge that year to cover its tour players.

These are perfectly legal assuming that the grooves havent been tampered with ("sharpened") taking them out side of regulated width/depth.
Quad Cut grooves do have a tendency to cut the cover and its one thing I love about them and why I have had MP-T wedges in my bag for years now.

Yep, I sold a set of MP R12s to go back to MP T series. Pretty sure the heads at least will be with me for some time!

IF this is true then Id assume your clubs are illegal on the basis the very best players cant get the ball to actually back up from this short a range (you dont hit it hard enough to get the levels of spin needed). I expect the chip checked up which would be fine
