Thinking of adding these to my set of custom fitted jpx 850 forged irons 4-pw which I'm about to order. Anyone experienced the T-5 wedges or has them in the bag? Interested to hear feedback.
I've got two MP T5s in the bag - 53 degrees and 60 degrees, both with 10 degrees bounce. Took quite a while to get used to them and I seriously considered putting my old wedges back in the bag, but now they've earned their place.
I have 50,54,58. Bought them when i got my 850 forged irons. Love them. I got them fitted with the px 5.5 shafts. Took a bit to getting used to moving to them from cleveland 588 rtx cbs.
I have well had MP t4s no real difference it spin rate or looks etc from what I remember the mate just after taking the 54&58 only the 50 left now. Nice feel off them tho a premium wedge all feel nice imho.
I switched to a 48/52/56 now to better plug my gap.
Have 50 and 55 degree T5s, moved from 52 and 56 T4s. While I dont think there is much difference (except distance which has caught me a couple of times) the T5s look a bit nicer. I opted to use the custom fit option on the shafts and dont regret swapping from the T4s for second.
I had the T4's as well a few wedge sets ago, and although they do look very similar I think the T5's have slightly narrower soles with a bit more heel and toe relief.
There is also 2 bounce options on each T5 - 4 on the 56 - whereas I don't remember having a choice when I bought the old ones.
I have the MP-T4's and love them, not sure at my level I'd notice a significant difference if I upgraded to the T5's, but if I was convinced otherwise, I would :smirk:
Think I will go for them. Just got to get rid of old ones - I'm getting offered golf bidder prices which is nothing. I can't be bothered with ebay so will probably reluctantly let go of them.
