Went to American golf today and get chatting to guy there who I have bought from before.
Anyway I asked about mizuno dna and off we went to hit some balls, couldn't get it going properly, the DNa that is, so they have another flight scope type thing, hit my current shaft version with the mp15 head in, then went on to try a couple more, px6.0 and xp115.
All pretty good, just have to narrow it down, it's between the xp and the px, going for a second fitting at the month end when I'm ready to buy.
The number between the two were minimal, averaging 86mph, 124 ball speed, 175 carry with a 6 iron, but the xp brought my spin down to 4400, from 46/4800 with the px. Was getting good flight from both and dispersion was averaging at 6 yards which was happy enough with.
Anyone using the xp shaft or mp15 as feedback would be good thanks.

I was fitted by Titleist for ap2 with the xp95 shafts. Have seen a big differance in long irons going straighter with a better flight (more often than not). My previous irons had dg s300 which I just didn't get on with. I also bought them from AG

Thanks John, I did find that the shots I hit grouped pretty well, Albeit it was only the 6i I got to try.
I have had 6.0s before and got on well with them so going to be interested in the results next time I'm there, and hopefully they should have the dna working too

That's all i hit while i was fitted at Titleist, after hit my old 6 iron the fitter picked this shaft. I noticed a massive difference straight away on each club, sounds daft but defo helps my mind games that someone pick the shaft for me rather than myself trying out dozens of clubs with the same shaft. Also i now I cant blame the clubs when i hit a crap shot

The DG XP 95 is an excellent shaft especially for smooth transition swingers.

I tried the XP 105 in S and R and the XP 95 in S and R

dispersion on the R wasnt as good with SS's over 80mph (6 iron) but the S was very tight and good flight. Overall an excellent shaft and much better than the DG s300 and others imo

Ian in the shop recommended the 115 as I'm quite hard into the ball, I liked it a lot went very straight with good flight.
Thanks again folks,
Has anyone played the mp15s?

Not played teh MP15's but I can comment on the shafts.

I've just put an XP115 into a 3 iron, and I like it. I have PX6.0 in my other irons.

If you can, I'd try PX5.5
I have a similar swing speed to you (although 5yds shorter on 6 iron carry) and feel that 6.0 is borderline for me and wished I'd had 5.5
They are a tad lighter than 6.0 (so similar to the XP's) and might give you a little more spin - I've read that around 6k is ideal for a 6 iron.

Just my 2 cents :)

thanks r3. I wasn't sure with the numbers as there were that many. Was getting more spin out of the px but the fella said getting it lower with the xp was good. Oh dear! I might have to try a different fitter. Prob is they are few and far between in Northern Ireland for a good set up.
I have used the 6.0 flighted before which I think is a little softer than the 6 and got decent flight so will try the 5.5 mate. Thanks

stick with the XP, it's working, but your letting the pro's 'opinion' sway you, stick with feel and facts
