So, today I took the day off work with the idea to look at cars, anyways, totally fed up after 3 garages, so went to ag.

Tried the jpx 900 forged, with the project x lx 6.0 shafts in, I have to say, totally impressed they felt awesome, well the 6&7 iron did as that's all I hit.
Hit my own 6 and was getting 177 carry, then hit the mizzy, carrying ave 183, one went a crazy 188! And they were all online with a slight draw 😬
So, I have ordered a set 4-pw 2 deg flat, with mc4 grips.
Productive day if I do say so. No new car like!

James?? Did you not just change your irons a few months ago?? I'm sure I read that?? But well done lad, congratulations!! I hope your keeping well and good luck with the Mizzies, I never felt the love for Mizuno's that others do, but I know guys who swear there's nothing better. Still want you over to Kirkistown soon whenever you get a chance.

Hi mate, hope you're keeping well👍 Yes I need to get me finger out and head over!!
Nah I changed last sept time, but the deal at ag was ridiculous lol
They feel great so hopefully they still do when they get here and the rest of the money changes hands lol!
Cheers

Yep me too, it was more the shape I was getting, the slight increase will be nice too, the shaft def felt better, a little lighter than my own and felt easier to swing

Tested these at a Mizzie demo day a few weeks ago. Went with the intention of getting fitted for the Tour version but fell in love with the Forged. Will be ordering next week - 2 degrees flat lie with Nippon Modus 105 stiff shafts. :D

Going to test these out at the weekend...I can't wait

so you went on a simulator and hit it further with a different flight to how you normally hit it??

I tried the Pro and the forged about a month ago and the tour went about the same, but the forget was a slight increase only about 5 yards. not an option for me though, i had JPX825 pro and didn't like the chunky look of the short irons and struggled with bump and runs an punch shots. the reason i went to the MP4's.

I tried the tour, and they felt great, but went for the forged as figure the little extra forgiveness will be more beneficial long term Alex.
Patrick, it wasn't that my flight changed massively but seemed to be more consistent, I know its only a flight scope in a shop, but hitting my own, they go pretty straight, but me deviation can go either way, so I can miss both sides, when hitting the mizuno, they also went pretty straight, but slight draw, and the deviation was always the same way. I really enjoyed hitting them, spent an hour with the guy hitting balls and just thoroughly enjoyed hitting them. Only time will tell if they will work, but sure that's a chance we all take when buying new sticks. I really liked the feel off face and the shaft combination felt very good. I wasn't put off by the size of any of the heads, they all seem pretty good, maybe a smidge diff to the rsi tp, but I am sure I will cope! One of my saturday fourball went from tm tour preff to Ping G :0 and they look like shovels in comparison, these are fine, I like the look and can't wait to get my hands on them. I have all winter to get sorted for next season, the guy in the shop also helped me sort out my driver flight, so he did a bit customer service too lol
I have no idea how the 8i bump and run will pan out, its a shot I like, hopefully it will be ok, again, only time will tell :)

as long as you are happy with them thats all that counts at the end of the day.

the main problem i had with the JPX was finesses shots around the green, bump and runs with a 9 iron and punch shots with 7 and 8. They would just ping off the face and go miles too far. at one stage i even had two 9 irons in the bag (my old mp62)

def easy to hit and went high and straight on full shots.

thanks Patrick, I hope I am happy with them lol
I find that my tms can force the ball off the face at times around the green too, so will be interested to see if any diff, I have been learning to use my 58&52 around the green and finding it quite useful, but sometimes only a wee bump and run will do!

Congrats. I have to say I love mine and when fitted that shaft felt good but the best numbers for me came from the Nippon Modus 105 regular shaft.

Very happy with mine and they are so nice to look at too!!

thanks Davey, how do you find the wee bump and runs round the green?

To be honest I'm not much of a bump and run player. Our greens are very receptive so tend to take my LW for short shots around the green, although every now and then play a little bump and run with the JPX 900 Forged PW and seems to be very good in terms of control and spin.

I'm 99.9% sure you will love the irons. I couldn't be happier with mine....................it's the swing that I'm not so happy with!!

Its a bit of a habit and I get no joy from it :D but Patrick is just talking rubbish. He has told this story about the 825 Pro about a thousand times and its just not the case. Its a forged iron, its not springy as it can`t have a thin face as its FORGED... it would just cave in if they made it thin. Perimeter weighting does not make a face springy so it cant be that either.

I used the 825 Pro for a little over a year, the 800 pro before that and two sets of MP 53 somewhere in the middle. They all perform the same around the green, MP/JPX Forged. You will love your new clubs, enjoy!

My experience not yours so why you feel you have to have a dig every time i post something, when ever you get it back you cry about it.. get a grip.. try getting out and actually playing rather than just harping on about stuff you know FA about.

I switched to an Mp4 and don't have the same issue as i had with the JPX and they are not the same.. as if you would know
