Looks like one of the nicest drivers Mizzie have come out with for a long time, the weights look like a throwback and improvement to the old weight slider they came up with in 2007:thup: plus 1* loft tweaks from 7.5* to 11.5*

Love the colour and contrasting white shaft. Could this be a winner for Mizzie?

So who's got one or tried one?

asked about them in my local Mizzi fitting centre, but they were told Feb before any arrive.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ethan hasn't already tried one though

Miznuo forum offering a few to members yesterday.

They do seem to have been shown for ages though and still a few months away ... what's taking so long ?

Mizuno drivers and fairways are very under rated clubs, maybe down to less marketing

I play the 630s and they are exceptional woods, I'd like to try these out and the new Cobras, for the simple fact I play 12 degrees just now and would like to see if I get better numbers by dropping the loft down, if not I'll happily keep the 630s in play until something forces it from my bag

Lots and lots of chatter about this driver on the Mizuno forum for some time now. As has been said, 500 of these are available in Europe nowish.

It does look like an exciting driver but I kind if feel it needed to come out quite fast after Luke was playing it some time back when the SLDR was the word on everyones lips as its of that ilk.

One of the big talking points on the Mizuno forum has been the fact that the stock shaft in Europe is the Orochi and in the US is (I think) the Speedster. The forum members are seeming frustrated that we have to have an own brand or made for style when the US get a premium for less money.

My concern is that with the likes of the Ping G30, Titleist 915 and SLDR2 (whatever its called) this may be another Mizuno driver that drops under the radar.

I haven't, although I had the chance. Played with a guy who works at Mizuno and had one, but it was a Matrix Black Tie shaft in X flex, so I didn't hit it.

Had a waggle with Luke Donald's at the Mizuno corporate day. Surprisingly short, as was the driver.

its not the length its the girth that counts;)

he's now dumped it:eek: doesn't bode well when your #1 staffer won't play it

I wonder what it sounds like. My Dad has an old mizzie mx driver. Not sure which one. Even off the middle it sounds like someone hitting a metal dustbin with a poker..horrific, but I can't get the stubborn old b*****r to replace it. He doesn't even hit it particularly well.
