Hi I'm looking to get a new jacket. Has anyone tried the mizuno hyper rain jacket. It's a lot cheaper than the GG range, but I Don't want to cheap, and buy twice. The mizuno is 10,000mm?, is this waterproof enough, or should I just bite the bullet and go GG.the more I look, the more confused I get. I don't really play much through the winter. Any advice will be greatly received.
Thanks

I have got the Mizuno jacket and pants. Had them for about 20yrs. The same ones . I don't play in the rain much, so they have not been worn a lot in that time. But they are still waterproof and in good Nick.

Thanks for the reply Dave. It's this years range that I was looking at, the hyper rain, I already have an impermalite quarter zip which is 5000mm? And got a real soaking last week and had some wet patches under it. I had heard that tumble drying was good for them, unfortunately not for the mizuno(should have read the label), the sealed seams started to come off. I have just finished ironing them back on, don!t know if it will work. I assume the hyper 10000mm will be twice as good, just wanted to know if any had one.

I have always gone proquip or FJ. Both have been out in some real horrid conditions and dealt with it well. I assume the difficulties in the Mizuno have come about from the tumble drying and it was fine before? If not I'd definitely look around. Plenty of good deals at the moment

Proquip for me, I got one in a sale that was last seasons, therefore greatly reduced. And it's fine for the amount of golf I play in the rain. I imagine if you will be out most weekends in the winter than a GG will be the best value in the long run. But if not then I've no issues with Proquip and would recommend them.

Not sure which model I got but I picked up a Mizuno rain set for around £120, very nice comfy waterproof, only downside when the current bun comes out it gets a bit toasty inside.

Thanks for all the advice. The pro in the shop helped me to decide, went for it in royal blue. Had a voucher, so that helped. I'm kind of looking forward to some rain now.

I have a set of Mizuno Impermalite waterproofs. now around 8 years old and still fully waterproof and the design is very good.
