My club were offering a Mizuno Demo day today, so I booked a slot and thought i'd try out the JPX range. It was a professional Mizuno fitter and my golf coach, which helped as he knew how i swing and what we have been working on in lessons.

We made a minor grip change on Monday and I took that into my fit.

I started with the swing DNA, very nice little gadget. club head speed was average of 82, looking at the rest of my stats recommended trying a slightly stiffer shaft... tried the first and it seemed ok, then moved to the project X 5.0, perfect fit on the JPX 800 had a few of those and my pro said, "give him the JPX 800 Pro, I want to see how he goes with it".... over comes the JPX Pro 800...

Shot 1 - straight down the middle, perfect ball flight
Shot 2 - straight down the middle, perfect ball flight
you can see where i am going here.

Was really pleased with the club and shaft and enjoyed the 30 mins of fitting.

now just need to decide if I can justify £529 or wait until I hit 15.4 (aim for a new set of clubs)

Everyone seems to be confident I'll be low handicap very very soon!

Go for it. Of all the clubs I've tried (and there have been lots) only the I15 and the JPX 800 pro have got me seriously considering a change. I love them and it is obvious they work for you. It's only money - you can't take it with you. What's the worse the missus can do to you?
