Hi there,
I bought one of these 2 months ago with 18* loft (2 iron) and have to say it is superb.
It does not, however, behave like a wood - I would say it is as easy to hit as my 5 iron and it is great off the tee and the fairway but I would still use a utility would out of the semi.
Hope this helps.

Jezz Ellwood our equipment editor was so impressed with it that it went straight in his bag and given the number of clubs he tests each month that's a pretty good endorsment

I have tried one and found it extremely forgiving...well worth checking out. With that and a utility in the bag the jarring, topped 3-irons can be a thing of the past!

Re: mizuno MP fli-hi irons

I bought the MP fli-hi 2 iron in November and it is already the favourite club in my bag - so much so that I bought the 3 and 4 iron versions soon afterwards. Don't think that this is a recovery wood replacement though. The flight on my own similarly lofted wood is much higher, but for those who prefer the look of irons but with fantastic forgiveness then I can't recommend the MP fli-hi's highly enough. They'll bore through the wind much better than a recovery wood, are great from tight lies, light rough and have enough height to stop on the green quickly. Wish all my irons were like these ( I have the Mizuno MP-30's )
