Recently went along to a mizuno fitting day held at my clubs practice ground. Overall really enjoyed the experience as I've never been fit before and was looking to change my ancient Wilson di7s.

First off tried the optimiser shaft reader and results were not unexpected 91 7-3-3-3 or something as I'm a fast swinger. The fitter said I had done well to get down to where I am with a uniflex shaft. Tried the 3 recommended shafts and liked the dynamic gold the best.

We only tried the jpx 850 forged as I asked about the mp54s but not available but the feel was great on the 850s. After checking lie he also mentioned hitting the wedges tp I think. I was impressed with the wedges but never have given thought to their wedges as always had Cleveland and taylormade atv wedges.

All in all a fun hour or so and just got to decide whether to bite the bullet.

91 mph with a 6 iron is pretty quick, and 7 is high tempo (more Sergio Garcia than Ernie Els) which usually means a stiffer shaft again. You are probably on the border between Stiff and X flex.

That's basically what he said. It's still a massive improvement on the uniflex shaft which is suitable for much slower swing speeds.
