Had good news and bad news for myself this weekend...
First, on saturday i played a foursomes competition for the interclub teams, both of us played woeful, but i skulled nearly every shot i had . Mainly because i was taking considerably more short game shots than long game shots. As a result, my putting was good and same goes with the pitching. Somehow we managed a nett even par. BUT later on i discovered we were dq'd because we didnt write our name on the entry sheet although we did pay entry fee and signed into the computer, its a local rule
On sunday i played the singles stableford. I didnt think i played outstandingly great yet i shot my best round ever, 78, ( ) bringing me 41pts. I'm pretty sure i've finished in 2nd spot yet the lad in 1st is a junior over a 19hcp so I get first prize (another local rule). It was the first handicap qualifying competition of the year so as well as that I'll probably get cut to 10, only 4 shots away from my target 6
