Picked up my trophy for medal runner up for last month as I missed presentation evening due to work, looks jolly nice on my display cabinet (office desk)

Medal again today, decent weather albeit a bit nippy 1st thing, started off bogey (missed par putt), bogey (missed par putt), par... off 28 so was thinking here we go not too bad. Then the wheels fell off big style, a quad, 2 triples a couple of doubles and that was me, card cream crackered.

Onto the 17th, 169yd par 3, nailed a 5 iron pin high just off the green and holed my chip for a birdie 2. I couldnt hit a chip all day then that, bloody game is so random at times. Also missed 4 18 inch or less putts which is inexcusable.

Ended up with a net 73 although judging by the responses in the clubhouse the scoring was not too great overall. Decent off the tee, irons were going really well, short game/putting was dog doodoo.

Although the score wasnt great I really feel like I am not far off overall. Lessons starting January to sort out a few issues then its bring on next season ;)

Missing putts that short is criminal, bad conditions or not. Other than that put it down to a typical medal round and then see what happens once the lessons kick in. I'm prediciting big things next year

aye, just one of them days Homer, all were pushed right. The newish irons were going a dream though and even hit a fair few fairways off the tee with driver so cant complain overall, havent done any range time or practice for a fair few weeks so can't expect to just rock up and have everything on song

Roll on next season G1bbo. Im sure your handicap will start to plummet nice and quick. Practice some putting though lol

new putter so still bedding it in, also changed wedges... big mistake as not getting on with the new setup. new 56 & 60 degree on their way v soon then I will be leaving the bag as it is and learning to use what I have.

Got one last stableford next Sunday so you never know (weather permitting)
