Looks like Mr Miura has sold his company. My first thought is "what a shame, thats the end of that". Surely him and his sons are the company.

It looks like he will have a hand in design for a time but....

This is a similar situation with what Tom Wishon has done. Tom got himself too wrapped up in the daily running of the business and not what he does best.

I don't think it'll be that much of a change.

Ye, that's an interesting take. I guess also he wants to see it while it has some value, what the the golf market declining.

Would you keep the same buying 2018 Miura clubs though?

According to the rumour the new owners are looking to make the clubs more accessible to more golfers, this would be a mistake if you ask me. I would guess there is truth to this rumour as the founder is really quite old and i would speculate that he simply wants to retire, nothing more.

I agree it would seem to be a mistake as surely the brand is built on the exclusivity

I guess it depends on profitability.
Say they make £500 on a set of irons ( random number)
If they made a slightly cheaper set, made £200 on each but sold 5 times as many it would be good business

Anyone know how many sets they sell?

Unless the margin on set A is 300 quid and on set B is 30 quid

Doesn't really matter. Miura will still be exclusive and expensive.

Unless Mike Ashley has bought them :D

Coming to a Sports Direct near you :smirk:

When Audi bought Lamborghini, Lamborghini still made good cars but they are really Audi`s. Probably better cars but not really Lambo`s.
