You know when you just fancy a half day off, a session on the range or a kncok with some mates. I'm grinding my teeth looking out at Abigail's butt spoiling the urge.

Its not often I fancy an hour or so on the practice ground but one of our local pro's is offering 45mins with a launch monitor for £20. And its refunded if you go on to buy some kit. I really fancy disappearing down the range with his box of tricks and half dozen shafts/heads and spend some time getting to know my current numbers.

An Algarve/Spain trip is required!

I'm so with you on this ...

My strategy against winter frustration has been to buy a half decent putting mat. It's not much, but at least it gives me the feeling of practicing something golf related everyday. And I am planning a trip to Spain (or maybe Portugal, not completely decided yet) for the end of January.

It's not even the weather ... actually, the November weather has been brilliant in my part of the woods so far (making it worse to be stuck n the office). It's just the lack of daylight.

Weather OK for tomorrow morning, chilly, rain due in afternoon after I've finished:whoo: spend the week checking the weather for weekend ahead, starting to feel like Michael Fish I study it that much.

Yep, there is a certain similarity between you and Michael Fish..................................................................... in age:ears:

not yet, last 2 months here has been pretty good. only last Sunday and Today have been spoiled by bad weather.

We are even still on the full course which is unheard of at this time of year.

no doubt once the Frost kicks it i will be thinking the same.

This for me👆Check weather all week, if the winds below 30mph and rain not too heavy I'll be playing👍

I didn't realise Michael Fish was still in his 30's

Im in the injured club! but should be back at least practicing in the next few weeks. I cant seem to scratch the golfing itch I have at the moment, even with watching the BMW champs. Its making it worse :(

Been at it working all week and weather with us has been reasonable.

However, needless to say our better ball team comp tomorrow is to be played in turbulent hellfire with moderate damnation and pestilence mixed in.

Our weather does my head in!!

Whats Elgin like at the moment?

Didn't play in the M&N league this year, so have not played it this year.

I would say it's been at its best for a long time Patrick although it was a shame to lose the old tree on the eighth, greens have been fantastic with the new green keeper. Joined Moray again for the enter and played last Sunday it was in great condition, did you join Moray this year?

Breezy and winter touch at the range tonight but fortunately nothing like some of you had to endure over the last 24 hours (everyone in Abigails path ok and no damage to property?). Got a winter knockout match tomorrow at 8.00 and the forecast looking grim. Waterproofs, plenty of towels and gloves already packed. Ping cape for the bag ready. Trying to stay really positive about it as I think the opposition may not be so keen about the wet
