I'm quite excited about this to be honest (though dissapointed I missed it!), but I had my first ever putt for eagle yesterday on our Par 5 18th.

Drive off the tee took the ball to the rough 2m from the edge of the lake tip near the bunker at the top of the hole picture on the course planner below. Then decided to just go for it and took a 4 iron from the rough to land pin level but 12' to the right of the hole. Judged the break nicely but missed the putt by an inch to the right and it ended up 6 inches too long for a tap in birdie!

Woop!

Here's to hopefully a few more chances soon. My game is definitely getting better!! Reall pleased.‎

Ah well that's crap! If you google search 'Bransford golf club' the .pdf link will appear as the second link down I think! I'd attach it but don't know if that's possible.

No harm in missing that putt. I think your first eagle is going to be more satisfying when you hole that 90yd pitch. There is just something about doing that that is brilliant. A bit like a mini hole in one (I have to imagine).

Most of my dozen have been straight into the hole - the first being on a Par 3! :D

And I've only seen half of them go in, not even that first one!

No shame in missing the putt. Leaving it short though.....

Hope there's plenty more opportunities in the future.

I was quite pleased that I even got the opportunity! I didn't leave it short though, weighting was perfect - 6 inches too long - just missed by an inch to the right of the hole sadly.

Tap in birdies are like tap in pars, you gotta love em!
