Mira shower mixer taps

Anyone know how to change a tap handle on a Mira shower mixer bar?
A sleek modern design but osteoarthritis in my hands makes it almost impossible to change flow to the showerhead.
I need a handle with an upright bar type fitting. It is unclear how to remove the tap, hopefully simple when you know how, don't want to get my big hammer out. U????

Most shower taps have a small plastic cap with a screw under. You pride off the plastic cap with a small screwdriver and then undo the retaining screw under it. When the screw is out the tap can be prised off, they are often on spline.

Taken a photo and magnified it, I think I need a very fine screwdriver to lift out an end plate.
Here's hoping. ?
