Anyone know the course/played there recently?

I might be playing a society day there at the end of September and would appreciate your experiences of the course please.

We play them in senior matches.

Great company - but that's not a lot of help!

It drains badly and bunkers flood and stay flooded.

Greens are pretty good at the moment, last played about 10 days ago.

Overall it's a pretty standard newish course; knowing where you are going helps (classic case of course planner over GPS) and definitely a course management exercise - take a 5 iron and play left side of the first fairway for example.

I enjoy playing it each year but wouldn't visit outside that.

Locally known as Mud Sussex...tells you about its drainage issues in winter. It's about 2 minutes from my front door but chose another club that is more playable all year round to join. Saying that it is a fair test with some interesting holes and some eminently forgettable ones.

It probably suits societies as it is pretty open and in generally good shape - decent greens as Duncan mentioned. Just don't slice one over the hedge off the18th tee.....or put your car in the overflow parking area😂

ADB you must be a lefty!

Course is playing well, not the longest and some holes are real thinkers. The greens are where they try and up the anti, plenty of slopes and tiers throughout. You'll have fun as long as the rain stays away as said it does get very soggy.

Club and staff are very friendly and decent pro shop and facilities

Well Leftie is a lefty, which was the relevant bit. :)
