Bought their latest album, death magnetic, and what an album it is.

To those that know metallica's work, it seems to go back to the era of "master of puppets" & "and justice for all"

Some really heavy, hard-rocking tracks with the usual superb drum beats of lars and James' one-off voice belting out some awesome vocals. Obviously there is a wealth of guitar solos shared by James & Kirk and some great string-section pieces.

Also, Rob is far superior to Jason on bass.

Cant wait to see them live again!

Glad to hear they're going back to type, didn't like much since their black album, saw them on Jools Holland a few nights ago, vocal was so-so but not bad. Show will be repeated tonight I think if you can drag yourself away from the golf.

I might just get this CD.

I like my music (including Beethoven and Mozart) but I have a soft spot for a bit of Metallica......of the "type" I reckon they are the best.

The metallica album "S&M" would be right up your street Dave, look some of the tracks up on youtube. A work of pure genius.
