I reckon Messi will get 25-30 this season, so the gap will narrow but don't think Ronaldo will pass it before he moves on.

He won't break Messi's record though, he's 56 goals behind him, but his La Liga strike rate is far better than Messi's ....................... in fact it's better than anyone's at 1.13 goals per game!

He really does have an unbelievable goal-scoring record! The only record Messi isn't going to get anywhere near is Klose's World Cup record. 5 goals, and probably only 2 world cups left in him at best, there's no way he's getting close.
