Week Saturday I will be joining Pavenham Park golf club and I can't wait! Aim to get a handicap and maybe a few comps but just knowing I can play weekly is massively exciting! Going to keep my adnams irons until I had a few more rounds and lessons with the pro! If anyone on here is a member let me know as I only know 1 other member.

Good luck Jon and enjoy

One thing you may or not know is that by joining Pavenham you join the Smart Golfer network ( http://www.smartgolfer.co.uk/ ) which gets you access to free reciprocal golf at 27 others clubs (twice a year I think). Im at Aylesbury Vale who are also part of it so can get to play Pavenham for free so if you fancy a game at some stage I'm happy to come over and you're more than welcome to come to ours anytime you fancy for a game. Theres quite a few clubs not that far from Pavenham on it

Thanks for the replies - Fundy it was one of the selling points for me. Although at this time I am not sure I will have time to play them all it makes sense if people are members of the other courses and fancy a round it is good from a £ point of view. G1bbo - I am always up for playing and meeting new people! I've only been playing gold since Aug last year and have played 6 rounds so am pretty new. My aim is to go under 100 this year in a round!

I only started 2 year ago, played my 1st forum meet @ Beau Desert with only 4 rounds under my belt... that was a proper eye opener :p

Looks a decent course so enjoy it & look forward to an invite once you've found your feet ;)

I'm playing Pavenham in the next couple of weeks I hope. Like G1BB0, I only started lessons last 18 months ago, play about once a month, and am hunting down 100. (Ocassionally, from quite some distance.) It'll be my 13th round.

Good stuff enjoy nothing quite like actually being a member if you can justify the financial side then the is IMO so much more enjoyment than nomadic golf.

Played my first round on Saturday - felt good and course is a challenge but in a good way. Didn't score the round as my playing partner plays of a 15 handicap and didn't want to put me under pressure. Playing again on Sat and will be scoring now I know a bit more about the course and the greens.
