Morning Guys and Girls,

I am looking for someplace in Glasgow and surrounding areas to have gapping done on a Trackman or GC4 outdoors on grass prefferably.

Does anyone have any ideas of where or who I can contact to arrange?

Also I am looking for a friendly club to join in the Glasgow area as I have just recently moved here. No where to expensive would be good, also somewhere folks wouldnt mind me joining on for a medal or sweep as to put in cards etc.

Thank you and Regards,

Andy

Hi Andy,

Where abouts in Glasgow do you stay? I'd say come to my course and you'll fall in love with it but would depend where you stay and budget for an annual membership. We don't have the facility for gapping yet but David Orr across the road at Eastwood has Trackman which he has the ability to take outdoors.

Only other places I can think of are indoor places like indoor golf academy or affordable golf.

Why are you wanting to do outdoors? Trackman from my understanding can be affected by the weather so would be best to do on a calm day. I think GC2indoor much better to do it on though as can take away the weather aspect which you then adjust to accordingly.

Morning, Thanks for your reply, I am in Bishopbriggs (i have played the courses up here and dont fancy them). Travelling is no issue as I used to travel back and forward to Carnoustie 2-3 times a week just looking for somwhere a bit closer, what is the fees at your course? I am guessing your at east renfrewshire?

Also I would prefer outside off grass as last year I done it indoors off a mat and its just a personal thing, I was far to hot and lost concentration to easy.

I will get in touch with him.

Thank you again,

Andy

Hi Andy. We've just had two lads from Bishopbriggs join us at East Renfrewshire. They looked around and decided that our course was the best around in terms of course design.
The members are pretty friendly (Turkish can give you his opinion of the Captain but I think he's wonderful :D ;)).
We can carry out lessons on grass but without the GC2 but there are plans in the pipeline.
Otherwise, as above, try David Orr at Eastwood.
If you want to PM me, I'd be happy to help.

I'm pretty sure Alistair Forrow at Whitecraigs Golf Club has some sort of track man and can do it on the range at the club.
I was a member there as a junior up until mid 20s and enjoyed it so could be worth a shout. Not sure how the membership are these days though.

The Clydeway golf centre in Uddingston quite near Glasgow, have both Trackman and Flight scope and will do gapping for you. Tel 0141 641 8899, ask for Ross.
