Have people not got anything better to do with their lifes than moan and complain.

2 Examples:

The pro at our club was 30 minutes late the other Sunday, becuase the battery on his phone died during the night, first time he was late in 14 years apparently. So 2 of the members, who didnt even turn up early themselves, whilst complaining to the General Manager about the course conditions, bearing in mind it was the first weekend the course had been open after the snow, also just happened to mention the pro was late, why?

On the putting green on Sunday, going about my business, 4 of the clubs scratch golfers warming up, didnt do anything else but bitch and moan for 20 minutes about the club and the coarse.

Now to me these people seriously need to get a life, but if you're that un-happy about your club and the condition of the course, why dont you move to another club, instead of moaninng and complaining about it every weekend.

Do all clubs have these people?

Yup, not just every golf club, but every organisation/club/companyboozer etc etc.. Some people just love moaning... Just ignore them, or even better, smile at them and inform them that you're having a wonderful time and your life is full of joy... They'll hate you forever..

Sorry but these people have a right to complain. They pay their fees so they are entitled to an opinion, if you don't like that maybe you should challenge them. You are right they have the freedom to move to another course, that again however is their own choice.

If the club have an attitude like yours them I would not be surprised if they did up sticks and leave. Golf clubs need to be open and embrace complaints. Some committees are so insular that it sometimes takes people like these scratch golfers or indeed a 28 handicap golfer complaining to open their eyes.

I would say in general people have a right to constructive critisim rather than to complain,

The ones complaining about the pro been late need a kick in the private collection , once in 14 years ?? and some one complains ? come on..

The guys complaining about the course have a right if its an on going problem & they have reported it & nothing is been done , complaining between each other & not doing it officaly is useless tho .. bit OTT if it just been caused by the recent snow , they are green keepers not miracle workers ..

people always will have a right to voice their opinions but only complain if its an ongoing problem that nobody has tried to fix or if you are willing to step up to the mark & change it .. esp if the people complaining dont turn up to the agm to vote or dont put their names up for election

craw, the tone of that post suggests your complaining about harvey complaining about the people that were complaining,..... am i following you correctly.

Nope its merely opening his eyes to the fact that members are entitled to their opinion, he may not agree however they are allowed one and they are allowed to express it.

Before you go to far with the insults about my attitude or my clubs, I must say I am proud to be a member of my club and I think the club are doing a great job considering their current financial constraints, a lot of clubs have been placed under.

What I do say is, if the fairways are greener else where, why dont these people foxtrot oscar and take their business else where, instead of bitching and moaning every 5 minutes.

No insults in my post. What gives you the right to moan about these people who moan about the course? Swings and roundabouts. Next.
