MEETING OTHER PEEPS! (for golf that is!)

Hi everyone, im new with only a few posts but find myself on here from when I get home to when I get slapped my missus or being un-socialbe.

So in my attempts to become more social I thought that I would come on the forum and enquire if anyone ever meets up with other forumers (not sure thats a word) to play. I am over 18 and not a phsyco.

Sorry mate! I have a strict policy of only playing golf with underage psychopaths ( or sociopaths if I'm really struggling)....... But welcome to the forum anyway.

Yes, there have been some local meets (mainly oop north), so watch out for one near you, or, failing that, get organising.

People certainly do meet up for a game. Stick around and get to know some people and I am sure their will be someone near to you who will be willing to meet up.

Just in from playing with John_Findly and his bandit, oops sorry, mate, Scott. So yes, There has been a few meet ups and there's no reason why you shouldn't arrange one yourself.

I've had the pleasure of playing with HTL, Viscount 17 and realgolferuk at differing times and had a brilliant time with all. Keep posting and an eye out for any local meets in the south. I'm sure a few of us will get together at some point

Just in from playing with John_Findly and his bandit, oops sorry, mate, Scott.

I played with Scott at the Glen and he is the best 9 handicapper I have ever seen. Steady ? He only hit one bad shot all day right after I said "you've played very steadily and haven't hit a bad shot all day"

I got done by a Scot at Lockerbie earlier in the year a 12 handicapper who played like off 5,He did fluff his first couple of shots to trick me

Play quite regularly with Evita and MickeyTwoDesks always enjoyed myself even if it does pee down every time me and Evita play!

Played a round with Golfer1 and should be meeting up again next month all being well.

I will always take up an invite for a round as it's a chance for a new experiences in golf and life

Homer I play at Broome Manor at the moment. Back to where I started many years ago. It's a nice par 71 with quite forgiving fairways.

I'm just getting back into it after a while so next year will be a steady year ready for 2010 where i hope to be at a reasonablly good level...well thats the plan!

I played with Blindpete yesterday.

I had a shocker and he beat me 5&4, he also shot a 90 which he was impressed with.

He was great company and will probably coming to play at my club in the next couple of months.

I have met 13 of the guys of here and had a great time with them all. This place is a great stepping stone to your new golf social life!
