Hi,
Can't find them in any shop in Ireland and I think the place that is doing the special price on them is the actual manufacturer in nothren ireland.

I've currently got a 60 Norman Drew in my bag & it is quality. Can get these for under £40 now & are every bit as good as Vokeys imo

I have also been looking at buying a couple of wedges and liked the look of the MD norman drews for the low bounce.
And i have ordered one this morning. 52deg, with the intention of getting a 60deg if i like it.
Some body here put me on to golfwarehouseuk.com and got a good price.
I've just looked and they are doing the players cobalt for £27 each :)

Stick with Mizunos. I had a MD superstrong oilcan a year ago or so and I didn't like anything about it.
I have played Vokeys, Clevelands, Nike, Callaway and other player wedges and I like my current Mizuno MP T series black nickels as much as anything I've played so much so that I ordered a new 58 degree this week from www.discountgolfstore.co.uk for about £28 - unbelievable price no doubt as Mizuno have a new range out, my current one is ok but with a bit of bunker use the grooves wear quite quick being softish metal. Seemed too good a price to miss.

Hi,
If you use stiff shafts in your irons should u have them in your wedges I see a lot of wedges just have a regular or wedge shaft.

Good point Mike, these clubs are solely for accuracy, not distance so the stiffer shaft should be more accurate if you normally play stiff.
I think wedge flex is actually very close to stiff.

The wedge flex shaft is stiff, Dynamic golds are usually S200.

They are good. I've had a few in my time and they're ok. In a way, the biggest problem with them is the name - its not TM or Cally or Vokey but don't hold that against them.

I have both in 60deg Mike. Having already got the MD Superspin I found it to be very good and does exactly what it says 'superspin', but i have found the Mizuno T-Series 60 deg to be even better and worth every penny of what golf warehouse are selling them for, you can certainly feel the extra quality and I am getting an extra 5-10 yrds too.

I really rate the wedges & putters that MD produce & the 2009 cataloge across the board looks very promising imo.

I've a couple of NV Drew wedges & rank them up with the Titleist Vokey wedges. Great classic looks & best of all nice low bounce. And for wedges that are not forged are a very pleasent suprise.

Of course everyone is different meaning they will not suit everyone But if I were offered a complete set of MD wedges at a good price I'd snap their hands off any day of the week.

They are certainly getting a lot of good press in most magazines at the moment and seem fantastic value for money. I'm happy with my TM TP wedges but if anyone is in the market for new short game sticks these must be worth a look

I have a Norman Drew lob wedge and found it far better than my previous Nike SV, better look and much more spin. Only issue was with the grip but that was easily changed.

My only concern with MD is that they are getting a little bit more expensive now, especially the Seve range. May not be long before they are in the same price range as the likes of Wilson Staff and a few other mid range club manufacturers. Will be interesting to see if they remain as popular when the bargain price is not the first thing that springs to mind.

I did mention during a previous thread that I thought they were beginning to dilute their brand with too many models especially with the new Seve range as well

I concur with Homer, I have mentioned before that they didnt need three types of wedge under the Seve label when one would have done the job.

I love my 60* and now its my fav club, the problem I have with the Drew was that of the low bounce and they where designed for dry courses and in the UK thats something of a hit and miss these days, but the Cobalt is great. I was practicing at the weekend and hit about a dozen lob shots at 40-50 yards onto the pitching green and the amount of plastic this bad boy ripped off the srixons was amazing.

I love the things, I did get two tapes added and a new decade compound grip added to it but they really are top wedges and for £28 you can not go wrong. I think I will pick up the 56* soon or just wait til I have some cash and go for the seve grind 50*, 56* & 60* once they drop to decent price (around £40) not the £65 they want now.
