A lot of people have written favourably about MD Golf equipment and I'm just posting to let anyone interested that I've seen that online golf (www.onlinegolf.co.uk) are doing a half price sale.

I've not played their stuff but it is supposedly good gear and thought anyone looking for some shiny sticks for Christmas may be interested.

Not that cheap to be honest Homer.
They have the Forged CNC irons listed at £293.00 with steel shafts,(retail price £299.00) I have just bought a set of Graphite Tungsten Ti clubs from Willingdon Golf Club for £229.00 (Retail price £399.00).
They are lovely clubs though and as good as makes costing twice as much

I've no idea if they are competitive prices or not. Just saw the offer come into my mailbox so I thought I'd share it with the forum. I guess its up to the indivdual to decide although I thought the prices for woods was quite good.

There is a guy on ebay selling stuff out of Ireland that he must buy in bulk from MD Golf.
I've just bought a new 12* EQL driver from him (£30.00 cheaper than AG) and a new putter as mine is beginning to look a little tatty now (£29.99 instead of £49.00). He offers excellent service, has great feedback and they are not "knock offs"... ;)
If you want Norman Drew wedges I would check him out first
;)

My new irons should be here tomorrow....can't wait to get out and give them some biscuit :D

I got the Cobalt for 33 quid delivered, though they sent to my home address and not my work they where ok, not the best but at some of them prices you cant complain, unlike bloody 118Golf at the moment who have taken two weeks to deliver 4 exoflex gloves after sending the wrong ones and then telling porkies and then finding out they are out of stock, I was going to order the Ogio Grom pinstripe for 82 from them but having second thoughts.

The Ashworth leather belt from Onlinegolf at 4.99 is a bargin from 24.99!!

I got an MD EQL from the same company and got the same email!

I reckon the EQL with the proforce is a bargain!!

I had un-subscribed from their emails too.

Can't speak for the irons or woods, but the EQL is a good club....shame I don't get on with mine....(what is it with me and grafalloy blue??)

That's what I've gone for but the traditional pear shaped head rather than the square one.
I will see how I get on with it, if everything is OK I may even get the matching 3 & 5 woods. At £59.99 a club they seem a bit of a bargain.
I'm getting the pro force "regular" shafts in my irons as well, which MD say should be roughly the same flex as my old Callaway "firm" shafts. If thats the case, I am going to be well happy.

f.w.i.w. I reckon the MD/proforce reg is pretty stiff.

I just push the hell out of my hybrid. Sweet strike though. I've let some big hitters at mine try it out and WOW....they get on great with it. I was moaning about it, gave it to a guy who hits his 6 iron 200 yards (much more powerful than me) and he walloped it down the 13th with a cracking draw about 250 yards......I couldn't hit my drive for laughing!!! (in a good way).

I only play with him to watch the beastliness (is that a word!?), shame he's quit. We got to the 16th one day, I hit my 5 wood about 200 to leave 110 in. He just lashed his driver and the ball flew like an exocet to land on the 15th tee (about 300 yards, 30 yards to the right of the green). Guess who made the birdie to win the match.... :)

That's what I was hoping. My old John Letters Trilogy were "stiff" graphite as were the Tandric predecessors.
I have picked up clubs with regular graphite before and they feel like a willow in your hands.
The guy on the tech side at MD (and the pro at Willingdon) assured me that I would be happy with them when I told him what I had been playing with before.

alchemy,

To be fair MD do make some decent equipment and not everyone has the budget or the inclination to buy bigger named clubs. To be honest Ping clubs have a unique style and it isn't to everyones taste.

Also, I'd be wary of over plugging your service. I've seen your "subtle" hints on a couple of posts. Most of us got the message with your initial postings and the reaction caused and your request for a web designer. Join in the banter by all means but I'd drop the continuous self publicity.
