Just saw on Facebook they will be changing over from UST Mamiya to Mitsuibishi Rayon shafts across their new ranges.

Just wondering what any of the shaft experts think of this change and do you think it is a good one? I've always read about how the MD range had decent shafts for the price range with the UST's.

MR make pretty good shafts - Diamana, Fubuki etc.

Whether tht turns into decent VFM is a different question.

The above shafts that FH mentions all tend to be pretty good even in the made-for sector. I would probably think that Mitsubishi would want to continue that tradition.
Whereas UST, I find them hot or miss on the MF market, the VTS is an awesome shaft in "genuine" guise and I even put one in my old Adams hybrid, but the made for version is as floppy as a piece of well cooked asparagus...
