Been playing well recently and have felt my game coming together, now that I've stopped messing around with things and just concentrated on hitting greens and fairways.

Shot a PB of 71 gross on Sunday in the stableford for 42 points. Missed a 4 footer on the last for a birdie and level par round (not gutted ... much). Good thing was that I had 3 or 4 other 8-10ft putts which had a decent chance of going in and so with a bit more look could have been even lower!

Went on to HDID to check results today thinking I'd have been cut down from 7.3 to 6.1 but have been taken down to 5.6? Not quite sure on the maths of it (CSS was 70), and it doesn't affect may playing handicap for next week but will check with the pro to see how it ended up there before my next comp.

When I played with chrisd last week, he mentioned that you were hitting the ball really well and likely to come down. Not sure of the maths for your cut but who cares!

Started as expected with two blobs, and was more than ready to head back to bed. However, the following 16 holes consisted of 4 bogey's, 5 birdies and 7 pars for a gross 74 and 38 of your finest stableford points!

That's great shooting again Jimbob. I'm glad the H4H challenge finished when it did I wish we had more qualifiers this time of year. It's been weeks since the last one and is another couple till the next, which will probably be cancelled due to the weather
