Anyone else REALLY enjoy watching Nicklaus, Player and Palmer? I love the way they put on a show and all the banter that was flying about!

Arnold Palmer was hillarious. :)

Loved it, was great to watch.

Luckily my wife enjoys golf so I have all weekend (when not playing or drinking) to enjoy the masters.

I watched a bit of it last night couldn't beleive the coverage. 35 minutes of talk before we seen a shot hit. We're in for a long weekend of adverts and talking rubbish to every and anyone who wants to talk.
Lordy lordy, I think the only way to watch is sky + it, and start watching it after an hour.
Who will they dig up next to interview?
What are we paying for? interviews or golf?

I also enjoyed it, right up to the last tee when the big 3 were chatting and laughing about something but their banter was drowned out by the waffling bufoon that is Colonel Critchley   .
What's the point of having microphones on the course when the players voices are being drowned out by the commentators who by the nature of their job description are just supposed to comment

I'm already sick of hearing "Oh Georgia" everytime there's an ad break.

Bingo, that's really getting on my moobs aswell I must admit!
Me too!

I'm concerned that the Masters may be ruined by Sky... but I'm going to reserve judgement until the competition proper.

Augusta National only allow 4 minutes per hour of adverts, combined with the good pricing of beer/food/merchandise it's the most 'viewer friendly' major by a mile.

add another one to your list fellas

i was actually singing along/over it, but changing it to

Oh Gaaaaaaaaaaawwwddddd

all we need is the go compare advert and they'll have to take my belt & laces away :(

The only thing matters is how much actual golf is shown - in the shortest time.

Both Sky and the beeb have presenters that annoy in one way or another, so was wondering if there is decent RADIO coverage of the Masters?! :D Could then use my Footie "set-up" - TV with sound OFF, radio with sound turned UP. ;)

He really does sound like he is in extreme pain doesnt he?

The Rolex advert is getting on my bits too, how many of us can honestly say that we have never heard of Rolex before and need reminding every 20 mins?

That par 3 course looks hella tight too, would be great having the playoffs (should they be required) over that stretch!

Blimey you miserable lot, do you not remember the bad ol days before Sky Sports when we had to rely on the Beeb and ITV for our sports coverge. Remember test matches being interrupted to watch the 3.20 from Sandown Park and the only live footy being the FA Cup final, and i think its safe to say we are absolutely spoiled rotten when it comes to golf coverage thanks to Mr Murdoch. :)

As promised, I have waited to judge the whole Sky thing, and having turned the telly on 45 minutes ago (I know, I know!) I'm not massively impressed. PLUS... I've heard the Georgia "sting" 3 times, and F*** ME SIDEWAYS it's really f***ing annoying!
REALLY ANNOYING!

3 more days of that constipated tw*t! One can only hope he gets Alzheimers and forgets what should be on his f***ing mind! ;)

Only plus is most of my bets are looking pretty good.

It's just been sung again. SHUT THE F*** UP!!!

I enjoyed the par 3 contest in parts but soem of it left me cold. Talking over the banter of three of the greats doesn't take a lot of broadcasting savvy to realise is a mistake. Look at the greats of commentating like Maskell, Arlott, Laker, McClaren etc where they let the pictures tell the story. Not sure Di was having much luck with some of the impromptu interviews. I think YE Yang looked like a starled rabbit. Poults mum looked scary too

I thought all the kids were great, really made it a nice relaxing start to the competition, that is until I saw Jack Nicklaus's grandson, what the hell has he been standing in? He was more scary than Mrs Poulter.
