Going on from the SLDR thead. Has there ever been a golf club in the history of the game to divide opinions more than this driver?

I remember some pros loved it, as did most of the youtubers I watch.
Forum members I know (hope I dont offend in naming you guys) lp, matt odvan and fish, rave about the thing. All differing hcs as well!

Then there are others, incuding myself that cannot for the love of God get to grips with the thing. For me 4/5 :confused: then theres the odd 1 :whoo::clap:

Before I go on, an absolute monster for me would be 250. I hit this thing, never leaving the line of the 1st cut/rough, so had little bounce and no roll. Nice calm sunny day. Measured at 285. It didnt even feel like I flushed it.

Any others?

Not a club for me but a putter grip, superstrokes don't get it lose all feel yet loads love them, the thicker they are the worse they look/feel.

I love my SLDR, also love my Superstroke Fatty grip on my putter, guess I'm unique and a bit different 😜

My cobra amp 3w. Was the first generation and didn't get many good reviews. From the tee, coupled with the shaft I had in it meant I was only around 10 yards behind my driver. Only thing was due to the head shape it was hard to hit from a tight fairway lie.

I miss it

I can think of a couple of examples, Scotty putters and Vokey wedges. You either love em or hate em, doesn't seem to be much middle ground.

My Scotty Futura putter - love it, love the little 'ting' it gives when I hit a solid putt.

My playing partners dislike the sound, the looks and how it can get me from being on the ropes to leaving them a 4 footer for a half!

Ping irons. To some effective and reliable clubs, to others uniformly ugly and unwieldy.

Chippers. The work of the devil to any sane person, a lifesaver to some tragic golfers.

my TM burner super fast hybrid is my marmite club as I just don't think it looks right which is why I have just got myself an Adam TL2 fairway wood as the I prefer to shape of the club head.
