Maybe a bit of a daft question but what goes where?

I've never played in a comp before but plan on getting out a bit more and trying the comps out. Where does my score go? I presume I just swap with one other player and mark his score. What else needs to be done, signing etc.

Thanks for the advice, Mark

there's the rules answer, and there's the common sense additions as well as the helpfull bits on top!

1. rules wise - handicap in handicap box next to player A, gross scores go in Score A column, player and marker signatures, or initials somewhere on the card.
2. common sense - put your name in the Player A slot, add the competiton name, date and your tee time in the areas indicated. Put your signature in the area indicated, get the marker to sign where indicated.
3. helpfull to committee - put the marker's name in area indicated

If 2's or 4's you swap with one individual - if playing as a 3 you will swap around and mark for one FC and are being marked by the other.

your score goes in markers column. the left most, but is not compulsory, the guy who's card you are marking score goes in score A. All you need to do is to record all his gross scores on each hole and sign where it says markers signature.

On your own card you need to enter competition, date, name and handicap and sign where it says players signature.

Anything else is optional but you will normally add up his scores to get his gross and subtract the handicap to get his net.
