Mark the damn ball

How annoying when an opponent/player has putted and left it short/long and then not marked and lifted, now you wait, glare at him, then you get the snide comment "that really can`t be in your way".

Its not the point whether its in my line of sight or not its just good manners to mark and move away,mind games at its best.

It's about good education. Apart from anything else I like to mark it and then re-align my ball

Think it should be a given that you mark if there is the slightest chance your ball could be in the way or hit by your opponent/playing partner.

Why "wait and glare"?
I just ask them to mark it
