So Mark Hughes walked out on Fulham saying the club couldn't match his ambition for the team. Ends up at that footballing giant QPR and we've beaten then home and away. They must be crap if Fulham win away from home. Enjoy the championship Sparky and maybe next time you'll think twice before thinking the grass is greener.

I hate it when a manager walks away from a club, especially one that is doing ok because he thinks he's some kind of Bertie Big Balls and usually they come unstuck. I know managerial longevity is a novelty but I do like it when clubs actually give a manager time to build a side. Hughes had inherited a decent side but was making it his own so no idea why he needed to jump.

On a side issue, couldn't believe ex Fulham man Lee Clarke was dumped by Huddersfield because they didn't think he was good enough to get them up. Play off final last year, still in the running for automatic promotion and with a good shout of playoffs again. Ludicrous so close to the end of the season. Chairmen - I do wonder (shakes head)

I do agree with you Homer, as a Palace fan in recent years we have had iain Dowie, Steve Bruce and Neil Warnock all do that, only Warnock currently working. To be honest am pleased as Dougie is the right kind of guy to be incharge right now....

I do snigger though when I see them pitch up doing studio analysis etc. Its so obvious they want to keep their face known so they get job offers.....

Always thought it was strange why he quit Fulham with no job to go to probably hoping for Chelsea job. Only thing is at QPR he does appear to have a big transfer kitty so if they do happen to stay up he will have a big pot to spend.I suspect he is being paid a lot as well. Lee Clarke is still a crazy decision to me and to replace him with Simon Grayson who IMO is probably a lesser Manager than Clarke. If we get rid of Sheridan then we will have Lee down at the B2Net;) not gonna happen I know but we can dream

Never cared too much for him in his playing days... He's not quite so 'Sparky' now and his days as a manager, I feel, are numbered...

Hopefully he doesn't take the 'Hoops' down... Still have a bit of a soft spot for them from occassional visits, back in the day, to Loftus Road to Marvel at the skills of Rodney...

Same here. I lived in Kensington in the 70's and it was fun nipping over to QPR to watch all their great players of the day....Marsh, Parkes, Francis etc.

Also find it hard to feel any sympathy for him after he ditched Blackburn who were going along decently at the time to join Man City. Easy to say but I think MH and his back room teams departure has largely contributed to where the team stand now.

He's a big time Charlie. I hope QPR go down and Hughes vanishes forever.

I thought Sparky left because he couldn't get on with MJ's Number 1 fan, Mr Al Fayed?

Either way, good appiontment QPR. Well done with that one

I don't reckon he's ever really acheived much. He's always inherited decent teams and done ok but he's not taken any single team and turned them around has he? He was pretty arrogant about Fulham, who are a far bigger club than QPR.

I couldn't think of anything worse than sitting in that shoebox that QPR call a football ground for 90 minutes.
