Unconfirmed reports so far on sky sports news that Mancini has been relieved of his command at City in last hour or so! Pellegrini perhaps coming to the premier league.

You would think with all the success United had sticking with one manager for a long time would have been a template for other 'big' team to follow.

And I'm no United fan.

I, honestly, think that Man City will become the next Chelsea with the managers job being a poisoned chalice that only somebody after a decent pay day would consider taking.

Couldnt have put it better myself!

He has now had done to him what he and the owners did to Mark Hughes. Think Mancini has made loads of costly errors this season and has not learnt from them. Not shocked he got the boot. Know one or two City fans and they are glad he has been pushed

Sacking Mancini would be criminal imo.

He's won trophies in 3 seasons and should be given the full backing in the transfer market to improve that squad.
That said, their performances in Europe this season were awful and he needs to sort that out if he does stay.

Squad full of egos. Hard to gel that into a team. They need a task master who won'y take any nonsense.

Maybe Neil Lennon would go well?

He been touted for the Everton job. Earlier in the evening there was rumor that he was replacing Tony Pulis at Stoke at the end of the season. No doubt he'll be linked with more before and during the closed season so, why not the sky blue half of Manchester

Well, he's done better than Mancini in the CL.....

And the way he dealt with Tevez after he refused to come on as sub just undermined any authority he had. He will definitely not play for us again. Oh, OK then, you can play.

Didn't he say and do much the same for Ballotelli as well?

I am a United fan, but IMO this is madness on the part of Man City. There is no doubt that United will suffer is some way next season, just due to the loss of consistency (new manager, probably new back room staff, players retiring). This upheaval has been made worse IMO due to lack of succession planning at United, even though we all knew Fergue would have to retire at some point soon. Even if Moyes settles in extremley well and very quickly it is highly unlikely United will manage 90 points next season. Chelsea and to a lesser extent Arsenal and Liverpool are in disarray. Just by continuing to do what they are doing now, City could become the dominant force in British football for the next few years -though probably not in Europe. To create their own upheaval at this crucial time is plain barmy.

I think he is tactically naive and city are doing the right thing replacing him just going about it the wrong way (allegedly ;) )

I mean in the FA cup final he took of Tevez for Rodwell @ 0-0!!! multiple other mistakes during his time aswell inc the Tevez debacle.

As for Liverpool being in disarray... we are looking pretty decent of late and only going to get better ;)

I found what Gary Neville had to say about the Glaziers yesterday quite interesting. He claims that at no time have they interfered in the footballing side of the club, and have left it to the people who actually know what they're doing.
Perhaps there's a lesson to be learnt here for the likes of Sheikh Mansour, Abramovitch etc.. Money can only take you so far, consistancy requires good staff and stability imo.
Of course Utd might just have been lucky these last 20 yrs.

What comes around goes around .. isn't karma a great thing

Nothing against Mancini personally but he should not complain about how the owners have handled the situation when it is pretty much the same scenario as when Hughes got the push. I can see why the owners are acting as he has made some really baffling decisions this season as well as on saturday with his subs that he made.
