Manchester golf show.

I went to the NEC one a few times. First time wasn't too bad, big indoor range and most the big boys. It slowly got worse over the years, less manufacturers and more guff like holidays and people selling gizmos like electric ball cleaners for £20! Not been for years now.

Lesson was spot on and eventually worked out what he was trying to do! Rick was awesome and very patient with me!
I did not feel uncomfortable once and never even noticed people were watching lol! My other half was getting a short game lesson from shis colleague and the video will be on YouTube soon I guess, she enjoyed it too :)

regarding the show it was not very good (sorry) feel it's gone backwards, there was not even a retail store to browse only a little booth ( no higher than my downstairs loo) selling some cheap men as ladies clothes.

imho it will need a massive revamp for next year and it must include all the major manufactures as most of them were not here this time :(

such a shame really as the north ofhave the best and most passionate golfers in the country ;)

What did he get you working on?

trying to cure my slice on with my driver. Rick was very good but struggling to adjust to what he has asked me to do (played last night and was all over the place). He is going to send me the videos and I think some instructions so perhaps that will help.

TBH, the teaching side of things was probably the only thing that was really good about the show. I like stuff which is more about technique (the short game guy made a load of sense - Gary Smith?), not the gizmo's and training aids and holidays and golf membership (how many members would they get from a golf show, surely most people going would be already members or playing somewhere?).

Oh aye, also bumped into Simon Dyson and he remembered me and the Mrs from when we saw him at Hoylake last year. Nice bloke.

Get a Ping G30 SF driver. Lot easier than working on your technique ;)
