Managed to get out today.....

Nice fourball at Copthorne Golf Club in West Sussex.
Ground was a bit wet in places but the greens were superb bearing in mind the weather we have had lately.
The pro did us a favour, let us on at "County card" rate which saved us a tenner each on the green fee. £20.00 wasn't too bad! Expensive day otherwise because I couldn't find my bloody golf shoes so had to shell out for a new pair. Got a pair of Footjoy AQL's which performed admirably in the more boggy sections of the course.
Used the new Callaways for the first time today, felt really good. 18 points going out, only had 13 coming back in though as it's been a few weeks since I played and the old knees were getting a bit achey. I think today has made my mind up to bite the bullet and invest in an electric trolley, with the "GoKart" being favourite.
One iron shot gave me particular pleasure, absolutely flushed a 9 iron to within 3 inches of the hole for a birdy, one of the purest shots I've hit for a while.
Paddy couldn't have hit it any sweeter...well maybe 20 yards longer but no sweeter.
Was good to get out.

Also played today but only 9 holes shot a 38 and the ground was soaking but worth it as pro gave me a few free tips!!

It was moist today for me too.lol but at least all the greens still in use..whahay!

Was out on Tuesday at Beedles lake, got very wet with the river water rising, yet the greens & the fairways were still running true & firm enough.... mostly.

Hoping to get a round or two in when we're down in devon next week.
