Couple of things, firstly I hope the guys injuries heal soon and he gets all the help he needs

Second, what must the golfer have thought when he happened on this while looking for his ball & luckily he knew first aid and was able to help, not sure what kind of mess I'd have been in in that situation





And anecdotally how benign is the hole/green shown in the picture! Even if you tried to mess it up you'd have a tough time not scoring, I hope the picture does it an injustice or its the SI18, anyone played there?
 
Personally I think he was just trying to get cut

Your second point; Carrick Knowe is the worst course in Edinburgh. Stupidly easy with no character or challenge.
