Looks like my season might be over before its had a chance to start :(

Just back from the hospital where they took my stitches out and then onto the fracture clinic to see my hand specialist, he was pleased with the recovery to date but he has isolated my thumb along with my hand now greater than before!

This new removable splint they've put on today has steel splints built in going up my wrist and into the palm of my hand and also up the side of my thumb and has to be on for at least another month! Then and only then if the tendons are showing some strength and workability will I start some hand therapy for another month, so that's 2 months minimum taking me into July!!

Really not what I was expecting, the initial splint I had was cumbersome but workable and I was hoping for something even less than that today to be fitted, but this is far more restrictive.

Now I've got to cancel further meets and booked hotels for the next 2mths and there's still no guarantees then :(

Going to contact my club also and see if they can suspend my membership whilst I'm injured as other than using the bar I can't take advantage of any facilities at all, I've just spoke to my pro and had to concede all the knock-out comps I'd qualified through to also :(

Not a good time :(

Don't want to kick a man while he's down but, wanna sell me your driver mate? That SLDR hybrid I bought off you is bloody awesome! Favourite club in the bag already :D

In all seriousness get well soon.

Shame that fishy I was looking forward to you playing off a proper handicap this year:whistle:

All the best. I snapped my ankle last year on april fools day! (Classic). facing 90 degrees the wrong way and missed all of last season + Dubai Matchplay tournament was booked into. Know your pain.

Get well soon fellow golfer
