Male facial hair

2nd random thread of the day and I've never tried a poll before...

After noticing that only one bloke at work is regularly clean shaven, I realised that generally that is very much the minority choice out on the streets of London too.
I'm reasonably confident that we aren't all hipsters, but what are you wearing?

Note sure what a "trimmed box" is today, but in days of old, pretty sure it had nothing to do with facial hair, let alone a male......

I cant really grow a beard, but don't like 100% clean shaven - so stubble wins for me!

Never clean shaven because it makes me look like I have the chin of a baby. Stubble length wildly varies based on whenever I can be arsed to trim it basically. Right now it is pretty much a beard as I haven't bothered for a while. I can never quite grow a proper beard of any length though. It just starts to look like a wire brillo pad.

33 years in the RAF (only the last part when beards were allowed) so got into the habit of shaving daily. Still do it now when WFH

"Legitimate Sicilian businessmen" were clean shaven when I was young.
The family followed suit.

When I was at university, however, I had a habit of not shaving during final exams and the period immediatly before.
Before I went home for the break, however, I treated myself to a barber shave with my haircut.
I couldn't face my mother looking like Ray Donovan or I might get a wooden spoon across the head.

I have a goatee, and had it now for about 20 years since my missus persuaded me to grow it. Anyting to hide my face I think.

When I go “out out” I’m clean shaven, then it just grows out until the Mrs starts complaining. During lockdown and when the Mrs was in hospital for nearly 3 months I had a glorious beard! ?

Short, well maintained full beard here. Had it for about 5 years and last week decided to go back to stubble... looks ridiculously odd so the beard will be getting grown back this week.

I shave on maybe a Sunday night and once mid week and that is about it unless I am going out.

Very few males can pull off the rugged stubble look.
Mostly they just look like tramps.
Clean shaven all my life except for a 1970 tache for a few weeks.
It came off when someone asked what I was doing with a rugby team on my top lip.
Rugby team = 15 a side.

I have a small patch of skin on my right cheek which does not grow any hair so any attempt at a beard looks weird. When I have tried one it has looked much like a certain (name unmentionable) Australian's beard which I have always thought looked naff except for beatnicks and some musicians such as Manfred Mann.
