Well the results from saturday are now in and i got cut 2.1 shots from 13.3 - 11.2 handicap is now going back in the right direction, will see if i can get back to single figures again before the season is out.

Cheers mate have been playing solidly for a while now but acouple of holes have done me in but still made buffer, still a few comp left so fingers crossed.

The 'preparation' may have worked this time, but it's not recommended on a permanent basis.

I played Ladybank a few years ago in such a 'relaxed' state - after another session at the Dunvegan the afternoon/evening before. The Eagle on 10 was fun to find, but it wasn't good for my state when my playing partners yelled at the kids looking to pocket our drives around 15/16!

Just think if you were down in England-shire you would prob have got one or these ESR and been down to single anyway

Well done Steve and congrats on the cut :clap:

Know exactly how you are feeling as after a struggle of a season which had seen me go up to 9.5 just before Ballyliffin, in the last 3 weeks ive managed 5 good rounds as well as earning an ESR cut which have taken me down to an all time lowest handicap of 6.3

Shot 77 -13 =64 Par 71 CSS 73.

Cheers smange ,now thats a cut i sure you'll manage:thup:. In the past 4 years i went from 9 to 14 then last year at this time i had 3 week purple patch and went back to 12 then a load of 0.1's then 5 buffers on the bounce then boom on saturday.

Yeah mate every week its Par71 sss 72 but most weeks 73 or 74 so always helps a tad.

It was that mate ,missed 1 fairway and that was by a foot after the claustrophobia of your place mate:whoo: had played a Texas at Alyth on the Friday mate never missed a shot all day so knew it was coming

Whats an ESR cut out of curiosity?

Exceptional Scoring Reduction......not exactly sure how it works Steve and I'm sure one of the more informed forummers will explain it fully but i think it's a reduction applied after you have had a couple or more scores at least 4 shots under CSS in a short period of time.

I may be completely wrong about ESR but all I know is it just cost me 0.5 as if the 2.8 I lost over three weeks wasn't enough

congratulations, great scoring. I was stood on the 16th tee yesterday at +5 off a 13 handicap and proceeded to drop a further 4 shots on that hole alone!! finished up at +10, gutted, all I wanted was a cut, waiting for the sirs to go up now, fingers crossed!!
