I've just got my Titleist 910D2 driver, It has a Diamana ilima "engineered for Titeist shaft, What is the difference between the "made for" shafts and the original Diamana shaft?

They are generally not made with some of the exotic materials you would find in the 'real' shafts. You will very rarely find a 'made-for' with boron in it for example. They are made at a cheaper price point so that they are more affordable for everyone and are generally engineered so that the average golfer can use the shaft at it's full potential. So the kick-point/torque/maybe even flex are probably different to the 'real' version.

Also without banging on about it too much, they are also generally made to compliment the head ithey are paired with. For example, although I haven't hit the 'real' 'Ahina, I have hit the real Whiteboard...and the made-for' 'Ahina in the 910 is far whippier than the 'real' Whiteboard, which suggests to me that Titleist and Diamana have softened the shaft to help the golfer with an average swing-speed get the ball in the air a bit easier.

Hope that helps for you :)

Just to add, Made For shafts are not inherently bad, just a bit different, and so long as you don't assume that the 'real' version plays the same as the MF version, can often be a good choice. The MF Titleist ones are pretty good. The 'real' version is often a lot more money.
