Is there a trick to getting these to work that I've missed?

Got caught today In a downpour for over an hour, brand new pair, never used (bought on recommendation from here) and I was distinctly underwhelmed by them. Only seem to have a bit more grip than going gloveless.

As long as they are soaking wet and the grips are wet I've found they work brilliantly.

The alternative of a hanker chief and leather glove just ends up trashing a good glove (but works)

Bad batch?

I swear by them, played some of my best golf in them during intermittent weather... 2nd place nett in club champs and won a scratch cup.

I just kept them clean (followed washing instructions) and kept them in the packaging to stop them getting damaged when in the bag (and therefore not in use).

I found them so good I wore out a pair as I liked to wear them in the dry too!

I swear by them, lots of grip once wet, I've also wore 1 on my right hand with a normal glove on my left and for some reason I feel more in control of my grip

Did the OP use them dry. Only seem to be effective once soaking wet on a wet grip

I had completely submerged them in water.

I swear by mine and they come out in the slightest bit of rain. I have a Nike covert driver and the grip gets very slimy in the rain, but that's no problem with the macwets on.
