Just about to leave for Machrihanish, two ferries and a 45 mile drive, easy stuff compared to the usual 136 mile round road trip!

Argyle & Bute Spring meeting today, £8 entry fee!!!!!!

Question time, will it be

A) a break today?
B) a hold?
C) up point 1?

Weather looks fine, light showers 5-10 MPH winds. I played OK yesterday, I hit it well enough, just didn't score but felt as though my game was in decent shape! Just need to get the putter going!!!

Up 0.1 hacker :) 5-10mph winds ,you know that will be 25mph :D :D :D enjoy mate, hope its in as good condition as was in March,if you see Callum tell him he's DAB (DIRTY ARAB BARSTEWARD) :D

It is a fantastic journey, takes you 2.5 hrs but doesn't feel like that cos half the time is spent either sitting waiting for the ferry or on the boats marvelling at the views!!

***. ;)

Thanks for all the negativity!

I'm pleased to tell you that it was a hold although I did my best to throw it away with that bloody tough back nine. I went out in 37 in in 41 for a 78-5 net 73. SSS 72.

Stupid double bogie 5 on the par 3 15th and a missed 4 foot birdie putt on the last coupled with a 3 putt on 13 were the undoing of a battling performance. Again it was not great golf but I got it round.

Great company today with Davie who plays off 1 round Machrihanish who undid some brilliant golf with 3 stupid holes and Andy who at the age of 60 is a very accomplished 4 handicapper and if I was as consistent with the driver as he was I could have been low 70's.

The usual brilliant conditioned Machrihanish with great greens, great definition between fairways and rough and magnificent consistant bunkers, I should know I was in enough of them on the back nine!!!!

PS,

it was wet and windy, then just windy! West of Scotland links, I love it. Throws everything at you!
