If I'm traveling clockwise can you get back to the anti clockwise direction at either the clacket lane or Cobham services?

Clackets is for emergency and authorised vehicles only I believe. It appears that Cobham has the facility for all vehicles.

There again, you could always come off at the next junction :)

I'm trying to negotiate a pick up/ drop off with someone coming from Heathrow ?

The road of Clacket Lane itself physically crosses the motorway but a) the accesses on to it are for authorised/emergency vehicle only and b) the accesses have barriers. So technically, no, not linked. You might get lucky if you chance your arm but personally I'd certainly not build it into a plan.

Reminds me of when we parked at a service station with a bridge across. We sort of absent mindedly wandered over to find a bite to eat and came out to find our car had been stolen (with all our golf kit inside). Major panic and saw a police car and spoke to them. Their first response was to establish we were on the side of the motorway we'd parked on :oops:

That’s actually very common! We used to have a major service area on our area when I worked on traffic, and we used to get at least one call a week to a stolen vehicle which was merely parked on the opposite side of the bridge!!

Heathrow is finally now pay to drop and pickup now too (All terminals). Think its a fiver and you can only pay online.
