Specifically the fairway woods, has anyone compared the two directly? The second one allegedly sounds better but did the first model sound that bad?

Cheers

I wouldn't mind trying one either. Might have to look what shafts are available. I did notice one of the pro shops in sneck had white tie shafts in some of the new M2 drivers they had

I've noticed with the m2 hybrids and fairways that the m2 2017 launch considerably higher than the 2016 versions. the hybrid especially

i have the new M2 HL 3W and hybrids, they look, sound and feel better than last years. There is more pop to the 3W i hit last years well, but this one seems to jump off the face more. Its also much easier to hit and more forgiving. Did not like the driver though

I'd agree that the new version feels hotter off the face. Had mine less than a week but even on mi***** I can still launch it pretty high, certainly higher than my 915F which had exactly the same shaft.

Cheers guys, had a bash with the new one today and it felt nice. Head appears a little larger too, bought it there and then.

Has anyone gone from a 2016 M2 driver to a 2017 M2 driver? Just wondering if your custom fit info was the same, or similar, with each club?? I'm struggling to find somewhere that still does custom fitting for the 2016 model.

The only problem maybe will be access to custom shafts. When I got my 2017 M1 I was interested in the 2016 models, but found out that Taylormade are not supporting free shaft upgrades on the 2016 models now, because they have discounted them.

Didn't try the fairways, but hitting the 2016 M1 & M2 Vs 2017 M1 & M2 drivers I did not find that much difference apart from the sound. But as I have already said the deciding factor was that I couldn't get shaft upgrades in the 2016 models.

I owned the old M2 3 wood, 5 wood and 4H and went last week for a fitting for the new 2017 model

With the identical set up I actually lost yds with a worse dispersion in the woods - the hybrid felt heavier and stiffer and I didn't like it at all

Ended up with the new Epic 3 and 5 wood which I highly recommend - kept the hybrid for now

surely you didn't see much difference between the 2016 m2 and epic? I'm guessing you made the switch solely down to the epic range looking like golf porn?

Not at all - I hit the new M2, Titleist 917 to choose between the two - either of these performed better than the old M2

The fitter put the epic in my hand and it performed significantly better (for me) than the three others

i love the epic and that would be the one i would choose. however, it didn't do anything the m1 3 wood didn't do. the epuc just looks a million times better

Does anyone else think the 'improved acoustics' of the new m2's are worse than last year? Loved the muted sound of the m2 last year but the new one sounds a bit harsh/loud to me.
