It seems a big difference, ie £150 between the lithium option and the standard battery version?

That's because the difference between a lithium battery and lead acid is quite a lot
The lithium will last longer , charge quicker and is lighter
Mine is 3 years old now and still does 36 holes easily

Got the M1 Lithium recently. Very pleased with it. Light, small and easy to put up and down.
