Looking at their offerings at the top end of the bag, fairways and hybrids.

Look decent and seem to go well.

Anyone got any experience of these clubs, the predator or the new black cat?

My first ever pro played Lynx so I've always held them in high regard but never owned any of their clubs.

Currently quite tempted, what is a similar cost brand/model that performs as good or better?

I have a Benross fairway and have to say it is really good. I paid £30 for it in AG ex demo, was like new condition. Shaft and grip worth about £50 on their own! If you are looking second hand you can pick them up dirt cheap, but even new they are fantastic value.

Lynx are just re-launching the brand at the moment. I think the new driver is virtually the same as one of last years Callaway's.

I know a couple of people of have gone for a full set up of lynx this year and can not find anything to match them in terms of distance or dispersion.

Im looking at the hybrids, the predator hybrids look like cheatsticks... Not hit one yet.

There is a stockist or two locally, more than Benross.

They are doing a demo day at my local range (next week from memory) as part of their re-launch. Not a brand that has ever excited me even in their heyday but I may have a wander and a nose at the new stuff.

Played a Lynx black cat 3 wood 10 years ago, was a super club, never really found another 3 wood that I hit as well. Stupidly bought into the idea that a Taylor Made V-steel was bound to be better, it wasn't.

And here I was thinking the v-steel was the greatest fairway ever made!

Saw their TV ad for the new Black Cat driver during the golf on Sky yesterday.

Though it was very interesting that the ad said nothing about the tech / distance / forgiveness of the driver, just a swanky 30 second slo mo of a bloke swinging it.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't Di Dougherty (Sky Sports Nick Dougherty's Mrs) have something to do with the company? She was all over Twitter for a while posting about Lynx Golf?
