That is very sad My heart goes out to him and his family. My lovely Dad passed away a few years ago and life is never ever the same again...

Very sad news and i only hope after him mourning his father, this spurs him on to greater things.

Losing a parent is a horrible feeling that i'd never ever wish on anybody, my dad died when i was 12 and it affected me for years.

And his wife is about to give birth. What a terrible thing to happen at that time with him living in Chicago.

Lost my dad nine years ago and it still hurts, particularly as he loved this great game and I simply never played with him often enough. He'd have been made up with St Pierre and Forest of Arden this year and kicked my arse for not being able to chip properly. I hope Luke can be allowed to grieve in private, use the winter well and come back next year and play for his dads memory and have a stellar season and break into the majors. That would be a fitting tribute
