Was driving to the chemist tonight and had to go through the mother of all width restrictions. This thing is narrow. And long. It has six posts, and spans about 18 feet of road. My car (hearse) is a proper tight fit. Got through on the way in, but coming back, crunch. Oops. Car rocked a bit, and I'm thinking not good.
Get home, and nearside wheel arch has just kissed the last post. Scratched very lightly all the way round the front wheel arch. Twenty minutes with some polish, and I'm left with a stone chip. That's all.

Result.

Off to buy a touch up stick tomorrow. Be good as new.

Not going down there again either.

There is a bridge near Little Mickley by Hexham that is the tightest width restriction I have driven through. There are guide rails to stop you going ver the edge and it really is squeaky bum time.
