Lovely long week-end planned

Driving down to Bournemouth later this morning, meeting up with Gordon (Drive4show), Richart and Andy (Merv79), teeing off at Ferndown around 3.30pm.
Overnight stay and then meeting up with Slasher (PNWokingham) and playing Broadstone tomorrow afternoon.
Another overnight stay and then playing Parkstone on Monday morning before the drive home in the afternoon.
Really looking forward to it, not played any of the courses before but understand they are all first class.
Hopefully the weather will hold up.

Well round 1 done and dusted. Played at Ferndown and what an absolute stunner. In superb condition, couldn't fault in any way, shape or form. Richard and I took on Gordon and Andy and got stuffed 3&2. Held our own for the first eight holes but then our opponents superior firepower started taking it's toll. Both of them were hitting the ball really well. On one par 5 we measured a drive of Andy's at a shade over 340 yards which only left him maybe an 8 or 9 iron in. We couldn't compete. But a great day and a superb course as I say.

Weather was really good Barry. A bit too humid for me, I was getting a bit jaded towards the end. Very little breeze to cool you down. Currently Richard and I are in the hotel room going through our game plan for today when we are taking on Gordon and Slasher Nash. We should stand a better chance because whilst Gordon will be his normal steady self, Slasher will be all over the place as usual. We may have a side bet on how many balls he loses. For once, we actually feel sorry for Thelma.
